MANOR Facade Project 2011

On invitation of the warehouse Manor students and alumni of the HGK FHNW developed ten individual projects as a contribution for their temporary media installation from December 1st - 24th 2011 in Basel.

The students of the Institute of Visual Communication have been working over a project duration of six weeks on the creation of interactive and reactive pieces under the lead of Ludwig Zeller. Special emphasis has been put on the investigation of the cultural role of architectural light stagings.

Manor Installation — "Ich, Greifengasse 22"

The interactive screening for Manor was inspired by the ambivalence of the month of December. On one hand it is a very peaceful time but on the other rather stressful and hectic. Both of these attributes were combined in our work "Ich, Greifengasse 22". The spirit of the Manor building moves slowly if the atmosphere of the surrounding is quiet but starts to freak out when noise appears. This way, the sounds from the Greifengasse is directly visualized on the Manor building.

"Ich, Greifengasse 22" was shown at the media facade event of Manor warehouse in Basel

from December 1st – 24th, 2011.
